970 Inswing Door Latch

Step 1 - Fold template on dotted line.
Step 2 - With door in closed position, place template on outside of door so that
short folded end is against wood jamb or metal Z-bar, whichever projects farther.
Long part of template will be against the door.
Step 3 - Mark position of the three holes.
Step 4 - Using a 5/16" drill, bore the three holes straight through the face of the
door.
Step 5 - Insert spindle into inside latch assembly.
Step 6 - Install latch from inside by pushing spindle through center hole to engage
square opening in outside handle assembly. Be sure plate and handle are mounted
in correct position for either right or left hand door.

Step 7 - Insert latch screws and draw up firmly.

Step 8 - Attach strike to wood jamb with 1-1/4" screws.

Strike plate - 9/16" x 5/8" x 3-3/4"
