Why won't my storm door open all the way?

Not opening to a full 90 degrees?

For a full 90 degree opening position the open side of the jamb bracket ¼” from the storm door. If mounted further away from the storm door door it will significantly reduce the degree of opening.

Step 1 - On hinge side of door, at the desired height, fasten the jamb bracket to the door jamb using the (4) long screws. The open side of the bracket should be 1/4" from the door as shown in Figure A. If replacing an existing closer, use existing screw holes if possible.

Caution: Installing further than 1/4" from door will significantly reduce degree of opening.
